METHOD

How the numbers are built.

Steezanomics is run by Ben, a solo operator in Ontario. The product is the Lab: a free player-prop research tool that puts the form, the price at each book quoting a market, and the matchup context on one page, and shows the work behind each of them. Alongside it there is a daily card of the plays that clear the bar, logged before the games and graded after.

The picks industry sells confidence, hides results, and restarts under a new name when the losses pile up. Everything here is built the other way round. Numbers say what they are and what sample they came from; a thin sample is labelled thin; a price that cannot be judged independently shows no edge rather than a flattering one; and the ledger keeps the losers on the page.

Where the boost desk fits. Before the Lab there was a profit-boost desk, and it is where the pricing method was built and proved in public: multi-book consensus, two-sided devig, every play posted before the games and graded after. That ledger is still up, finished and left up, and it is the reason to believe the numbers in the Lab. It is the archive and the proof, not the thing being sold. Nothing on this site costs anything today.

The method, in plain terms

The Lab prices every player prop the same way: consensus across the books quoting that market, the vig stripped out, and the book being judged excluded from its own fair. One rule holds throughout. Where the estimate is weak, no number is published rather than a flattering one.

Pull every priceDevig to fairRank the boardPost pre-gameGrade + publish

Every morning the board is rebuilt from scratch. Every price on every prop gets afair value built from multi-book market consensus: what the whole market, including the sharpest books and exchanges, says the bet is worth, with the vig stripped out using a two-sided devig, and the book being judged excluded from its own fair. A short card of the plays that clear the bar posts before first pitch. If nothing clears it, nothing posts.

The boost desk that ran before the Lab used the same five steps, with promos in place of the board. That is why the pricing was already built when the product changed.

Every posted play is logged before the games start and graded after they end, by an automated settlement pipeline, not by hand and not by memory. Wins and losses both get published, straight to the Lab's public record.

What this isn't

It isn't a tout service, and it isn't gambling advice dressed up as certainty. Individual bets lose all the time. That's variance, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. The claim here is narrower and checkable: every pick is posted before the games and graded after, and the record is published whichever way it goes. You can verify that claim against the Lab's published record, not against a screenshot.

What it costs

Nothing, today. The Lab, the card, the results, the calculators and the articles are all open, with no account and nothing to buy. It is in open beta and the useful thing to do with it is use it.

That will not be true forever - this takes real money in data and real hours every morning, and at some point part of it goes behind a subscription. When that happens it will be said plainly here and in advance, so nobody finds a paywall where something used to be free without having been told first.

Don't trust me. Trust the math.
